Of course. I'm just glad you wanted to celebrate it with me.

[She doesn't think being single is so bad, really, though it's been a bit since she was single herself.]

I'd have to be a pretty huge jerk not to.

[Especially given the turn things have taken recently. V-day's the last day to show someone up like that.]

Still, I better step up my game with the way you keep spoiling me.

[She's the spoiling type, but she doesn't mind sitting back and being spoiled now and again, either.]

Yep, you sure did.

[And though he pauses briefly, he soon adds--]

[She offers him her arm.]

[Which he takes, albeit somewhat sheepishly.]

[He's a dork. But that's not too bad of a quality.]

Thanks, but I really gotta watch it. Don't wanna appear too sappy.

[He tips his chin up and and sets his free hand on his hip.]

Not in front of your girlfriend, you don't.

[They're dating. She's his girlfriend. It's a pleasant thought.]

[And this'd be the part where Kai's cheeks turn slightly pink.]

...Okay, you got me there, but wouldn't it be a little creepy if I suddenly turned into a gigantic, sappy, romantic bursting into over the top serenades?

[Kinda an oddly specific example, but he's seen it happen.]

[She doesn't remember if he can sing, even...]

...And then it dawned on me.

[He stops for a moment, pausing dramatically.]

I might actually have to learn how to do flirty banter.

Oh no, however will you survive.

[Her usual flat tone serves her well here.]

Somehow, even if I'll probably end up embarrassing myself.

[He says this with a crooked smile, face slightly down turned.

Teasing is one thing, but flirting... How could he do it without sounding cheesy?]

I might laugh. But I'll try not to be mean about it.

[At least she's honest. She's an honest person, in general.]
